Clear Scraps Project Post

This 4-pack of Christmas ornaments from Clear Scraps is a very quick & easy way to either decorate your own tree or house, or make something special for that person on your list you want to remember for Christmas.  There are so many things you can do with acrylic  – especially this thin extruded acrylic that the ornaments are made of – that you're limited only by your own imagination, really. 

Here's what I did to dress up these little acrylic pieces:

Joy:  White paint on the back, painted over a mask of Magic Mesh, and backed with Teal StazOn when the paint was dry; Hambly Screenprint transparency frames on the front (adhered with Tombow Vellum adhesive); Letters by Basic Grey, outlined with pen; Jewels across the top by Glitz Designs; Misc. beads and a charm hung down one side and a ribbon to tie it all to the tree. 

Noel: Paint and ink, letters,  jewels and overlay(same as Joy); Snowflake die cut adhered with a brad (punch a hole for the brad with your Crop-a-dile);  More beads on a wire wrapped around the ornament.

Merry & Bright:  Paint and ink, jewels and overlay (same as Joy); Merry & Bright rub-on adhered to the front of the acrylic.

Snowflake: Paint and ink, jewels and overlays (same as Joy); Rub-on circle design on front of acrylic and a snowflake charm adhered to the center of the circle with a glue dot.

I chose to keep my ornaments all in the teal/black/white colour combo but the possibilities are endless, especially with the variety of paints and inks available today.  Can't wait to see what you come up with!!
