Today I have a very easy tutorial for you!
It's about using glitter on acrylic. I will show you some step by step photos to let you see how easy this is.
First you pick an acrylic item you want to add on a layout or something. I choose the large stars since I had run out of the small ones. 😉
To let them look a bit vintage I used some sandpaper to rub them a bit up.
Then I cut the star in half since I am going to add them on corners on my layout.
To create the texture I would like to glitter, I embossed the stars with an embossing template and running it through the Big Shot Machine.
Then I used the Tombow Glue Pen to draw on top of the embossed swirls. I didn't glued everything at once. Just glue some swirls and then add the glitter. Otherwise the glue will dry up before you have added the glitterdust.
The fun thing with this is that you also can use a stamped image on acrylic to cover up with glitter. You just let the stamped image dry and then use the glue pen and just go over the inked image. In case you don't own a embossing machine.
This way you can create your own embellishment with the color you just want. You only need to add your favorite color of glitter!
Have fun!
Hilde
