This is the time of year when I realize just how far away Christmas is :) Maybe it's that I start making Christmas cards in summer to prep, or maybe that it's that I haven't heard from, or made contact with certain friends since Christmas….but this season (early summer) always strikes me as an appropriate time to send out a nice "hey…thinking of you" type card to some of the friends that I don't see that often. I whipped this one up in a matter of minutes with some good old sandpaper from my garage.
The white office-supply tag is spritzed with Glimmer Mist, the circle of acrylic has been run through my Cuttlebug and then the raised portions sanded to make them translucent, not transparent (my son is in the middle of a Gr. 4 Science unit on light). It still shows the colours of the tag from below this way but the raised flowers are whitish and cloudy. I stapled it onto my tag (yes, a regular old stapler) and added a flower and button.
Tada! Quick & easy. Sandpaper, stapler and few odds and ends of paper.
Thanks!
