I cannot believe we're a week away from Christmas!! Where has the year gone? We are all crazy busy this time of year, so I wanted to share a quick, easy and fun holiday project. The great thing about this project is that most of the work has already been done for you – you just put on the finishing touches.
This Advent calendar uses Authentique papers from the Festive Collection. The background piece was glued to the back of a 12×12 sheet of Clear Scraps Acrylic. Santa was cut out and then attached to a candy stripe background and this was attached to the back of an oval center from Clears Scraps Buckle Frame.
Now the fun part – embellishing!! I used Viva Decor Glitter Writer and Pearl Pens, stickers from Authentique and some gold trim. You can do as much or as little embellishing as you like – get the kids involved!
Once all the glues and pearls and everything are dry, use a dab of Tombow Muli purpose adhesive on the back of Santa and let that dry. It dries tacky so Santa can be repositioned on the calendar. The acrylic protects the paper behind it, but the adhesive sticks to it as he makes his way to the 25th!
