Good morning fellow crafters! Kay here with my latest layout where I'm honoring the very special relationship between a mother & child. With Mother's Day only two days away, I felt that this was the perfect time to create a page with me & my son.
I've used one of Clear Scraps more recent releases from their 'Clearly Framed' collection–the Medium Circle Scallop Frame.
This year will be my very first Mother's Day–so it's a special one for me. I'm blessed to still have my own mother with me and for the first time in my life I'll be celebrating being a mother myself–and what a rewarding experience it is!
Instead of using the Scallop Circle Frame…well, as a frame–I decided to cut it in half and use it more as an embellishment to my page.

To give the acrylic frame it's texture, I first highlighted the border of the frame with a white Sharpie Oil Based Paint Pen & then I dry embossed it with a Tim Holz embossing folder (Regal Flourishes). These simple techniques was all I needed to give the frame the subtle texture I wanted for my page.

I found that this sentiment spoke volumes & that it's very much true…so I pulled the title for my page from this sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by & I wish all the moms out there a very happy & rewarding Mother's Day surrounded by all your children & loved ones. Till my next post…
