Father’s Day Frames by KC

Father's Day is just around the corner, so I thought I would share a little project to celebrate the fact that my husband has two daughters that share some of his interests.  So how about a little camo for Father's Day?!

For this project I used three Clear Scraps Small Circle Deco Frames.  I began the camouflage by sponging small splotches of acrylic paint on the back of the frame, using the corner of a make-up sponge.  First in medium brown.

Then, once the brown was dry, I added random splotches of sage green, and then grey.

Once those had dried, I sponged a deeper brown over the entire back of the frame.  This fills in any blank spots and also gives the lighter colors more depth.
Once I had added the pictures and title, I attached the frames to a Medium Scalloped Circle frame with Beacon Zip-dry adhesive.  The Scalloped frame had been daubed with Silver Metallic Alcohol ink and had a sort of old tin look to it.  I added black "nail heads" as accents to the frames with Viva Decor Black Pearl Pen.
This camo effect would be great for any "manly" project and the acrylic paints work so well on Clear Scraps Acrylic!!
Happy Crafting!!
