Blessed November Tag by Jennifer

Hello friends! Thanksgiving here in the USA is fast approaching!  Today, I'm happy to share my tag for November along with my techniques!  I love this time of year not only because of the beautiful colors outside, but also I get to use warm colors to create with!

First off, I started with three colors of alcohol ink that are similar tones.

Starting at the bottom of my tag, I began layering the colors using the darkest first.  I usually just add a few drops of the ink to the acrylic and then use a blending tool to thin it out. Don't be afraid to allow the colors to "run" into each other…it does not have to be perfect! 🙂

After allowing the alcohol ink to dry, I flipped over my tag to add some texture paste with a fun Mascil. Here, I used the 12×12 Twigs Leaves Mascil and applied a light coat of the texture paste.   Clear_Scraps_November_tag3

Once the paste dries, you will get almost a golden shimmer image shining through your acrylic! My first intention was to have the texture paste facing up, but I was pleasantly surprised on the result!

Lastly, I added patterned paper, as well as coordinating stickers and die cuts from my Silhouette.  I used a few foam dots to pop up my sticker title and add some depth.
