Hello and happy Saturday! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I created using two of the new Mini Shaker Shapes! I love Halloween and was excited to see the Boo and Spider Mini Shaker Shapes!
I started with using black and orange Distress Spray Ink on a sheet of 12×12 white cardstock with the 12 Inch Spider Web Mascil. You can use as much spray ink as you desire depending on what kind of end effect you want.
Here is a close up of the end result of my background! I love that there is a good mixture of both orange and black.
I set aside my cardstock to work on the two shakers. I painted both chipboard bases and top frames with Color Shift paint in black which gives it a nice shiny look.
Before adhering my Spider Mini Shaker Shape, I used embroidery floss to create a line for the spider to "hang" on. I then used my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive to affix my Shaker to the layout.
I used the Boo Mini Shaker Shape as the title of my page. You can see I added patterned paper to the base of the word followed by adding in a mix of sequin shapes.
I then added in a 3×4 journaling card as well as stickers to accent.
I cut strips of patterned paper and adhered them to the edges of my page. I then added a double stitch with my sewing machine.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today! You can check out all of the Mini Shaker Shapes by clicking HERE! Have a great day!
