Hello! It's Jennifer back on the blog today to share a home decor project with you! I love that Clear Scraps offers many wood home decor pieces that are perfect to put your spin on your own decorations or to give as gifts. I wanted to showcase a new family photo and began with the Deco DIY Pallet Shape as my base.
I applied grey chalk paint to the surface of my pallet allowing some of the wood to show through. Any paint will work but I prefer chalk paint as it dries quickly and looks nice on the birch wood.
I also took chalk paint in black and painted the top frames of the Family Mini Shaker Shape and House Mini Shaker Shapes that I wanted to incorporate into my project.
I adhered a fun buffalo plaid pattern to the chipboard base of the House Mini Shaker Shape. I then added coordinating sequins to the center of my shaker before assembling. I finished by adhering a metal sentiment and affixing with black and white bakers twine.
For the Family Mini Shaker Shape, I painted the chipboard base with the same grey chalk paint that was used on the pallet. I again used coordinating sequins before assembling my shaker. Both Shakers were adhered at the edges of my frame with Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.
I added in paper flowers, as well as metal gears and buttons. Next, I spritzed the areas with spray inks in white and black.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I hope this inspires you to do some creating with Clear Scraps! Have a great day!
