Guest Designer Juli Ondrush-Wood Phone Stand

Hi Everybody! It’s Juli here with my first piece as a Guest Designer for Clear Scraps! I used a Wooden Phone Stand from Clear Scraps!

They have ones with cutouts, scallops and acrylics ones too! See them all here: https://www.clearscraps.com/category_s/110.htm

To create this cute cottage core inspired holder for my kitchen, I started by covering the main part of the stand with a vintage childrens book page, using craft glue.

These pages were from a big book, but you could piece some of your pages together if they are smaller. In order to get nicely finished edges, I used an Emory board to sand off the edges pieces that were hanging over. Worked like a charm!

Then I covered the small stand part with a cute, cute green polka dot paper.

You cannot go wrong with polka dots as far as I’m concerned! I put the paper on both sides to have a finished look.

Then I lightly added ink to all the edges to create a vintage feel.

I cut this large butterfly from a die in a coordinating green color. I glued it on off-center. This creates interest and gives movement across the project.

Then I made a cluster with both the green papers and some lace. I added the sticker ‘Chatterbox’ to imply that your phone is for lots of talking! And finally that huge gorgeous button from my stash is the perfect finishing touch!

I love, love, love how it turned out! Functional and pretty! And it has a very natural cottage decor feel. A perfect landing spot for my phone in the kitchen.
