Hi there all! Laura here with you today to share a little inspiration for creating your Memory-Dex box!
I shared earlier about the address box project I've been working on. If you'd like to see more about that, the blog post with that project can be found HERE. You saw a peek of the acrylic pieces in that particular post, so thought I'd share a bit more on how they were created using the Clear Scraps Regular Tab Acrylic Dividers 3pk.
The alcohol inks are a GREAT medium to use with the acrylic pieces! Clear Scraps carries so many different options in acrylics including 12×12 sheets which are fun to work with! The new Memory-Dex cards are no exception. Different shapes to use for different projects so you can choose what speaks to you and your creativity! You can make your own work of art!
When creating is often a great option to work with 3 colors. You could mix about anything you'd like, but I try to go with something that blends well. For this project I used this soft greenish color, and then added in a blue-green and blue. As you see in the picture, just squeeze a few drops of ink on to a sponge applicator, and then "pounce" the ink onto the acrylic card. It spreads out on its own to create this cool look. Then the sky is the limit–you repeat the same process with the other 2 colors and just keep adding until you like the look. You can add more of the same colors on top of what you already did and the colors will continue blending.
You can see after adding all the different layers of ink, it looks so blended and cool! It's such a fun medium to play with, if you haven't had the chance, give it a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
