Square Shiplap patriotic idea
When I saw the square shiplap I had an idea for a flag. I love how this turned out and it is a simple project to make. Use the step-by-step below and order your supplies to make one yourself.

To create this project you will need the Square Shiplap shape small, Medium Wood stand, Multi Stars Chipboard embellishments, red – white – and blue acrylic paint, strong adhesive, foam brushes, and painters tape.

Use your painters tape to section off stripes on the square. Make sure to section off a square in the upper left hand corner that is large enough for your star. Paint the stripes red. Let the paint dry and carefully remove the painter’s tape.

Now use some tape to cover the red stripes. Use new tape so you don’t run the risk of reactivating the paint and not having white stripes. Paint the new stripes white.

Use some more tape to section off the square in the upper left hand corner. Use your blue paint to paint the square.

Using the solid star from the chipboard collection paint it white.

Use a strong adhesive to attach the star in the blue section on the shiplap square.

Take the 2 large ovals from the wood stand and paint them blue.

Use the strong adhesive to glue the 2 ovals together.

Now use the strong adhesive to insert the square shiplap flag into the slot on the oval.

Your patriotic home decor piece is finished and ready to be proudly displayed in your home.

Isn’t this a cute idea? It is so fun thinking outside the box to come up with projects using products from Clear Scraps!
Have a Marvelous Monday!
