Flocking On Clear Scraps Acrylic!

I am all about the simple but fabulous finished on acyrlic.  I love a big layer of glitter, an entire sheet of acrylic done in alcohol ink….and I love this look – a large portion of the acrylic flocked.

For this project, I needed only 3 things:  a piece of acrylic, some sheets of Glue Arts Wall Art Adhesive, and some flocking.

I started by layering sheets of the Wall Art Adhesive on the acrylic Christmas Stocking I was working on.  I had to overlap some places because I only had the smaller 5" squares of the adhesive but it also comes in a large 12:x12" size.

When the entire surface that I wanted to flock was covered, I poured out a generous amount of flocking. This particular bottle came from DCWV.

By rubbing it with my finger, I got the flocking to stick to every inch of the Wall Art Adhesive evenly…

…and when I tapped and blew the excess off, I was left with a velvet-y coating on my Christmas stocking that reminds me of the fabric stockings that I used to get Christmas presents in when I was a little kid.  Mmmm…..cozy.
