…And Baby Makes Three!

Hi there Clear Scraps Friends!!
Misty @mommyof5kidz here with you one last time for April, and I am so excited to share this project with you! Do you remember the Egg-head Chickadees that I shared earlier in the month?
If you don’t, then go take a look at them right here—>Egg-head Chickadees

When I completed the two egg-heads earlier in the month, I still had one more mini egg pallet shape left. I didn’t really want to keep it hanging around for a whole year waiting on next Easter, but I didn’t really know what to do with it either. So…I put my thinking cap on. I started painting the egg shape white, like I do for all my paint projects. White is a good primer and a great place to start. As I was painting, it hit me like a ton a bricks! I should make this one the baby!! And so I did!!

Just as I had done for the first two, I gave him googly eyes, a ribbon bow-tie, and a foam beak. For this little guy though, I also added foam feet and a fuzzy patch of hair!
I hand drew the beak and feet, and then doodled the outline with a permanent black marker.
For the fuzzy hair, it was nothing more than a piece of furry ribbon. You could use feathers, yarn, or even jute for the hair patch. Once I set him in place on his stand made from my last mason jar extra circle, I put him with his Mommy and Daddy Egg-Head Chickadee.

After thinking about if for a few minutes, I realized that Mommy and Daddy Egg-heads needed their baby! LOL. They were incomplete without him! I know, I am so cheesy….but this family is so stinkin’ cute! My oldest daughter happened to see them sitting in my photo box when she came over to the house, and she said, “OH MY GOODNESS. MOM. Did you make those???”
I told her yes I did…she said, “Those are so ridiculously cute!! If I had room to put them on my desk at work I would steal them from you!!” LOL…This is the daughter that declined my offer to make her a name banner like I had made for my youngest. This is the daughter that actually turned her nose up and said…”Um. No, I’m good.” when I offered to make her a monogram wall hanging. But she liked the silly little Egg Heads? Go figure!!

And Baby Makes Three!
I hope you have enjoyed my eggheads and my Wooden Bunny Ornaments that I shared this month. I had lots of fun creating them! If you decide to make some, I would love it if you shared your creation with me!!
Have a wonderful day and stay Crafty, my Friends!
