Scraps of Clear Scraps

I use Clear Scraps' 12×12 sheets of acrylic for a whole host of projects – from cards and layouts, to boxes and embellishments….and sometimes, what I end up with are little scraps of acrylic lying around that I can't bear to throw out.  These 3 cards were made with scraps like this but you could also cut into a single sheet of acrylic and get these cards and more from the same sheet.  Be creative and stretch your dollars 🙂

Acrylic birthday card with alcohol ink on card

Birthday Wishes:  I took small pieces of leftover acrylic, cut them into squares (Fiskars paper trimmer) and rounded the edges (WRMK Corner Chomper) and coloured them with alcohol ink (Ranger).  Then I adhered them to a card front, placed random flowers around and a sentiment.

Happy Birthday:  I had this very small strip of acrylic lying around but it was the perfect size for a rub-on sentiment and 2 jeweled brads.

Embossed #7 card

Happy 7th Birthday:  This scrap of acrylic was a little bit larger – large enough to fit in a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I ran it through, inked the back with teal ink (StazOn), the front with green (also StazOn) and highlighted the one number I really wanted to stand out in orange (Marvy Paint marker)  It's attached to a card front with 4 brads.

I know you already can't bear to throw out your paper scraps and your ribbon scraps.  Now you have one more thing that can be used down to the very last scrap:  acrylic.  Let's see you get creative!!

Thanks,

Cathy
