Sunglasses Shaker Tag

Hello all my Clear Scraps Friends, and Happy Friday! Misty @mommyofkidz here with you today sharing a super easy project to get your weekend started. With summer coming to an end and all the outdoor activities becoming Indoor activities, why not take that opportunity to craft!? One of my favorite things to do in the fall and winter is to sit and craft with my daughters. we make ALL the things from wreaths to handmade holiday gifts…and Clear Scraps is my FAVORITE place to get my project starters from!

For this project, I was teaching them how to make shakers. there are SOOOO many options to choose from…but I chose to use the sunglasses. I have been dying to do this project and I finally had the opportunity!

As you can see, I went all out on these sunglasses with all the glitz and glam and Flamingos! I used silver glitter paper on the inside of the shaker and filled it with flamingos because who doesn’t love that pink bird!!?? Ha Ha!
The sunglasses are the easy part, though. Once they were assembled and ready to go…I had to do something with the tag that I wanted to mount the glasses onto! My favorite tags to use are the #10 Acrylic tags. They are large enough to fit most all of the shakers with ease!

I decided that I wanted to use alcohol inks to create a fun beachy background…and then I layered in some ephemera. Of course I used a flamingo and other vacation icons! This tag will absolutely be added to a scrapbook page soon!
I used a white acrylic paint marker to outline the tang and some novo drops to add the enhancements. once everything was painted, glued and assembled, I added a bit of ribbon for the final touch.

Thank you all for visiting with us today and taking a look at my tag. I absolutely love making these tags…I hope you give it a try, too! Head on over to the Clear scraps store and gather up everything that you will need! If you do, let me know…I would LOVE to see your creation!
Have a wonderfully crafty weekend my friends!!
