Clear_Scraps has wonder Journal Cover. Mini _Suitacase_shaped_Chipboard_Journal _Cover.
This is just one of many styles of Shaped album covers you can find.
I am also using a Door _Chipboard_Embellishment.

I am working with a Recent Prima Paper Collection as well as paint and flowers from the same collection.

Let’s cover with a plain white cardstock first.

I have a crafters cutting tool and cutting board for tracing around the cardstock and then cutting around the chipboard.

Cover front and interior of the cover.
I chose to leave the handles uncovered.
I will be cutting four pieces of the Prima Paper 5 5/8” x 3 1/2” to cover the front and the interior as well.
Cut two pieces 1 1/2” x 5 1/2” for the spine.

I have some thin satin ribbon for the closure.
Cut two pieces 6” each and use glue tape to attach to the cover bed the design paper.

Now finish both sides and Inside.
Now let’s paint the door.

I am using paint from the coordinates from the paper collection I’m working with.
I will paint first a pale color to build a background that will look distressed.

The second comer is a beautiful pink then I will get a blue and some gold to add more aging looks.

I will finish with some special glaze for crafts.

Here’s how the door looks finished.
I think it’s perfect and have applied it to the cover.
I will fussy cut a Branch, and foliage image ,from the paper collection. Also I add a flower and sentiment from the cut a part page.

I really love how this turned out.
It’s super satisfying to start with a beautiful Clear_Scraps _Shaped _Journal_Cover and Chipboard _Embellishment.
Add paper and mixed media to finish with a beautiful project.
