Halloween Memory Dex cards

Hello crafty friends! It’s Jennifer on the blog today with these Halloween MemoryDex cards. I know it’s only the end of August, but if you’re like me, you like to get into the Halloween spirit a little early! I usually start decorating around the middle of September, so I decided to make these fun little cards for my Halloween MemoryDex collection.

The first thing I did was gather my supplies. I used some handmade paper because I love the rough, textured look it gives. I decided to stick with a blue and black color palette. I also had some beautiful Halloween stickers, candles, and embellishments that I thought would work perfectly for these MemoryDex cards.

I started by inking just the bottom edges of each card with black ink. Since I knew I would be layering patterned paper over the middle and upper portions, there was no need to ink the entire card.

For the first card, I featured the adorable owl. I gathered some jewelry-making wire, twisted it together, and shaped it into a frame around the outside of the card. Once my blue paper was glued down, I layered a piece of textured black paper on top. After that, I attached the wire frame and added tiny amethyst chips around the edges for a magical touch. Finally, I placed the little owl sticker right in the center to complete the design.

For the second MemoryDex card, featuring the witch holding the kitten, I started with a dark navy blue paper and layered another piece of the textured black paper on top. Once everything was dry, I used light blue glitter to create a frame around the outside of the card. I finished it by adding the witch sticker and a few coordinating embellishments to tie everything together.

For the last card, I once again used handmade black paper for the background, but this time I layered a lighter blue textured paper on top. I placed the witch sticker in the center, added the crystal ball, and tucked in some gold leaves around the edges. To finish it off, I added three small gold cabochons for just the right amount of sparkle.

I absolutely love how these turned out! The mix of blues, blacks, and metallic accents gives them a fun, spooky vibe while still feeling elegant. I hope these cards inspire you to create a few Halloween MemoryDex cards of your own. They would also make adorable handmade Halloween cards to send to a friend or tuck into a special gift.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon with another crafty project!
