Clear Scraps Tag Box–Spooky Season

Hi there everyone! Laura here with ya to share a project idea for the Halloween season!

This starts with the DIY Wood Rounded Tag Box. I love the blank slate these tag boxes give you so you can create with any type of medium or embellishments you’d like! If you aren’t familiar with our tag boxes, check out all the different boxes (and tags too!) HERE.

This box was painted light gray–except for the back which is charcoal gray. It was brushed lightly with the charcoal or black. To add some texture, I used the Clear Scraps 5×9 Grunge Brick Mixer Stencil and black distress ink applied with a soft blending brush to keep the look subtle.

The same stencil was used on each side and a few ephemera/sticker pieces added.

The back was also painted in the darker gray and layered with some spooktactular stickers and ephemera….and just a touch of gauzy cloth.

The front also has one of the Clear Scraps Vintage Frames Chipboard Embellishments. With the ephemera piece it gives spooky old library vibes!

Once finished, this is a great piece to fill with tags that have pictures or memories from your favorite Halloween–or you could use it to hold some mini candy bars too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stop back soon for more inspiration!
