Turn your favorite vacation memory into a fun dimensional keepsake with this magical 3D Frame Project featuring the 3D Frameable Base with Scallop Frame and Word n Shape Magical Mouse Head from Clear Scraps! Supplies Used
- Clear Scraps 3D Frameable Base with Scallop Frame
- Clear Scraps Word n Shape Magical Mouse Head
- Patterned paper
- Acrylic paint
- Border stickers
- Sparkle pen
- Gold metallic marker
- Decoupage medium, wet glue, wood glue
- Scissors and paper trimmer
Creating the Base
The 3D Flammable includes 4 pieces, 2 base pieces and 2 frame pieces.
Starting with the 2 base pieces, choose coordinating patterned papers to cover them. I’m using a single piece with a border. You could choose to paint the 2 pieces.
Trace the shape of the bases onto the backside of the papers and cut.
Adhere the papers to the base pieces with decoupage medium. Seal with the same.
Glue together with wood glue.
Layering different prints and textures instantly adds personality and depth to the project.
Frame & Word n Shape
Add color to the frame, mouse head and magical word pieces. Paint with acrylic paint.
Once the paint dries, embellish these pieces. Add border stickers to the frame. Shimmer is added to the mouse head with a sparkle pen. A gold metallic marker is used to add a gold outline to the magical word.
Adding Photo
Trim the photo slightly larger than the frame opening.
Adhere photo to the frame back piece. Glue the front to the back with wood glue.
Finishing Touches
To complete the project, apply wood glue to the lower edges of the frame, mouse head and word. Slip each piece into the slots in the base.
