Hello My Crafty Friends! Misty @mommyof5kidz here with you today sharing my newest project using some of my favorite Clear Scraps Products! Before we get to that, though, I have a question for you all. Have you taken time to hop over to see all the new things that Clear Scraps has to offer? These are some FABULOUS project starters…and I am loving working with them! I know that you will, too!
Anyway…on to my project! I couldn’t BEEEEE more excited to share this with y’all!
Have I mentioned lately how obsessed I am with creating these shaker tags? Ha HA! Of course I have! I have created so many of them already, and there are still so MANY possibilities!
For this tag, I started with the Mini Shaker Bee and the #10 Acrylic Angle Tag. I prepared the tag before anything else. Going through all the motions…removing the film, adding my border with an acrylic paint marker, and adding white dots of “interest” with another paint marker. I don’t always prepare the tag part first, but this time, I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like.

Next, I prepared the bumble bee shaker, except I did NOT add the bottom layer to seal him in. As you can see in the photo below, the body of the bee is completely transparent.
This was achieved by adding the shaker elements to the bee, then gluing the tag into place…not the other way around. I also opted to put the acrylic piece as the top layer, after I had decorated the body. this gave just a little more wiggle room for some larger shaker elements. The yellow beads were just a tiny bit larger than I had hoped…but I didn’t want to leave them out! LOL

Once the bee was in place, it was tie to decorate! And, as you can see, I stayed with my yellow theme. Now you know why those yellow beads were a MUST! Yellow roses, yellow beads, even a light yellow lacy ribbon!

More yellow beads, a few rhinestones, a few more dots of paint here and there…Then voila! I had a BEEEE-autiful tag that was perfect to give to my sweet friend! I hope she loves it!
Oh! Before I go… I wanted to get y’alls opinion. I have been trying to decide what I should do next for a shaker tag. I have the Sunglasses, the Bone, a Texas, and a Retro TV. I might even have the Anchor, the Shamrock, and the Camera.
Which one should I work with??? Hmmmmmmmm Maybe the Texas?? Red white and blue theme? Y’all leave me your suggestions in the comments below!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your weekend is BEEEEE-YOU-tiful!!!
