Summer is the perfect time to brighten up your Memory Dex collection, and today I’m sharing a set of three fun dividers featuring the Clear Scraps Rounded Tab Memory Dex Dividers and the SUMMER Embellishments Chipboard Punchouts.
I love creating themed dividers because they add a pop of color to my Memory Dex box while helping organize seasonal memories. These cheerful summer designs came together quickly and are full of bright colors, dimension, and fun details!
For my first divider, I created a Hello Summer design. I started by using a decorative edge punch along the top of my patterned paper before adhering it to the Memory Dex divider. I added a small strip of coordinating patterned paper across the center for an extra layer of detail. The hello summer chipboard pieces were colored with a black acrylic marker, while the flip-flops were colored green. Once everything was dry, I adhered the pieces so the word hello overlapped both the sandals and the word summer, creating a fun layered focal point.
For the second divider, I completely covered the Memory Dex card with a bright patterned paper. I added a few summer-themed sticker embellishments to the lower left corner, then colored the chipboard popsicle with acrylic markers and adhered it to the upper right corner. To finish the design, I added a Pool Time sticker to the tab, creating a fun title that ties the entire divider together. I love the bright colors and playful summer feel of this one!
For my third divider, I added a strip of patterned paper featuring a subtle wave design and layered the Follow the Sun sentiment across the center. The sun chipboard shape was colored with an acrylic marker and then covered with Gold Stickles for lots of sparkle and shine. For the sunglasses, I colored the chipboard frame with markers. Before backing the lens openings with black cardstock, I first adhered a piece of clear cello packaging—upcycled from the packaging the Memory Dex dividers came in—to the back of the chipboard. This created the realistic, shiny look of sunglass lenses while giving new life to a piece of packaging that would have otherwise been discarded. To finish the glasses, I added a touch of shimmer with a shimmer pen for a little extra sparkle.
These three dividers were so much fun to create, and they will be the perfect addition to my summer Memory Dex collection. I love how easy it is to customize the Clear Scraps chipboard embellishments with paint, markers, glitter, and shimmer to create unique pieces that fit any theme.
