There is just something about creating fall layouts that makes me want to pull out all the warm, cozy colors and maple leaves! For this layout, I wanted to create a simple grid design that would let the photos and fall embellishments really shine.

I started with a cardstock base and trimmed eighteen 2.5″ x 2.5″ squares from coordinating patterned papers. I inked the edges of each square before layering them together and adhering them in a grid pattern across the background. I love how the different patterns work together while still giving the layout a nice, structured look.
I printed photos for four of the squares and added them into the grid. For the top center square, I added a chipboard title and coordinating embellishments to create a focal point and bring a little extra dimension to the page.
For the bottom left corner, I chose a patterned paper that coordinated with the grid and used it as the inside layer of the Clear Scraps Leaf Shaker. I colored the outer layer of the shaker with a brown acrylic marker to coordinate with the warm tones throughout the layout. I then added a sentiment across the top of the shaker for an extra decorative touch.
For the remaining squares, I used Maple Leaves Chipboard Embellishments. I colored each of the leaves with acrylic markers, choosing colors that coordinated with the patterned papers behind them. I love how easy it is to customize the chipboard pieces this way—it makes it possible to get exactly the colors you need for your project!
A few additional chipboard embellishments from the coordinating collection finished off the remaining spaces, and this fall layout was complete!
I love how the combination of the grid, warm fall colors, chipboard elements, and shaker creates a layout that feels both playful and dimensional while still keeping the photos as the focus.
