Hello Crafty Friends – Annie here with a GTA 6 (Video Game) themed Shadow Box featuring products from Clear Scraps. I was inspired to create this shadow box for my son. He loves video games and has been waiting a very long time for the game to come out. It will release next month and we ordered it for him along with the bonus collectables so, I decided to create this fun GTA 6 themed shadow box.
Supplies Used:
Craft Smart Acrylic Paint: Neon Blue, Pale Blue, Neon Pink, Neon Yellow & Black
Paper Studio Dimensional Stickers: Aligator, Palm Tree & Sun
Tools: Paint Brushes, Masking Tape, & Wood Glue
Lets get started
I start by painting the back piece of the box. I brush on the Neon paints over lapping the colors to create a Florida sunset. This game is based on Florida and since my son was born and raised here in Florida he is beyond excited for it. I set the back piece to the side to dry.
Next, I paint all the other pieces the inner slot (the dividers) and the outer pieces of the box with black paint. Allow them to dry and repeat on the other side.
Once the diveders are completely dry I adhere them together. It’s simple – just insert two pieces into the other via the openings that are cut into the pieces. I add a bit of wood glue to reinforce them together being that little collectables will be place here.
Then, I dry fit and finally glue the out pieces of the box to the back piece. I start at one corner,
I adhere the inner piece(the divider section) to the box. Then, I adhere the other outer pieces to the back. I use a bit of masking tape to holder the pieces in place until the glue dries.
Once the glue is dry I remove the masking tape and finally I decorate the front of the shadow box with a few dimensional stickers.
THe box is now complete and ready to be filled with all the new collectables. I know my son will love this box and all the special collectables from this new release. I hope you give the DIY 12×12 Wood shadow Box a try. They make the best gifts for all your love ones.
