Some of my favorite projects are the ones that let me celebrate the people who make this hobby so much fun! For this project, I decorated the Clear Scraps Friends Desktop Frame, and I knew right away that it would be the perfect way to display a photo of some of my crafty friends.
I started by painting the FRIENDS at the top of the frame. Once the paint was dry, I covered the front of the frame with patterned paper, making sure to line everything up before trimming away the excess. I also covered the two base pieces with coordinating patterned papers. After trimming everything to fit, I assembled the frame and got to work on all of the fun embellishing!
I added the Happy & Scrappy ephemera word strip across the right side of the FRIENDS title. I tucked a little green heart behind the strip and added a fun flag to the upper right corner for a little more color and dimension.
For the bottom left corner, I created a fun embellishment cluster featuring crafty-themed pieces. I added a little epoxy heart to the center of the camera and finished off the cluster with an adorable epoxy rainbow. I love how these little details bring the whole project together!
The photo is definitely my favorite part of this project. My crafty friend Lori converted a photo of our crafty friends group, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was the perfect photo for this frame. There is nothing better than getting together with friends who understand your love of crafting!
