Quick Tag Techniques

I don't know about you but I think the world in general is just getting busier…..is it?  Or is it just me?

Either way, I'm finding I don't have the time to sit down and create great big projects on a daily basis like I used to :(  That makes me sad.  But…the good thing is, small projects like these tags still keep my creative juices flowing so I'm already in the zone when a lazy day happens along and I have more time.

Try some of these quick techniques on a smaller piece one of these days – I highly recommend stocking up on several of these little acrylic circles, flowers, and any number of the mini-ornament albums that can be pulled apart and used a page at a time sometimes instead of as an album.

On this acrylic flower  "Hello" tag, I painted the back of it, added a circle of patterned paper with a sentiment rub-on, attached the paper with a brad and tied it with fibers.  Done.

On this heart shaped  "Love ya" tag, I used one page from a heart-shaped mini-ornament album (leaving me 4 more pages for future tags and cards).  I used a rub-on, a sentiment printed on my Epson Labelmaker (LW400) and a Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole for my brad to go through the arylic. Tied on a ribbon, and Done.

For this large "Thinking of You" tag, I used 2 acrylic circles, sandwiched a large flower in between them, used a paint marker to highlight the embossed parts on the smaller circle (I ran it through my Big Shot with D'vine Swirls folder), and attached another Labelmaker sentiment with a big fabric brad.  Done.

And last, but not least…

On this tag, I used rub-on adhesive to make a pattern which I flocked (yes, just like you can do on paper!!),  I sewed around the center circle and outlined the outside edge with paint marker.  Then I added, a Labelmaker sentiment stapled right onto the acrylic, HI in adhesive jewels and a pink ribbon at the top.  Done, done, done and Done :)

Wouldn't it be cute to tie these around a little gift for someone??  Or better yet, use them as a main embellishment on a full-sized greeting card!

Thanks,

Cathy
