One of my favorite things to do is to find new ways to use my Clear Scraps so that I can get more than one use out of them. I shown you before how to use them as a mask for misting. Today I am showing you another neat way to put those clear acrylic shapes to use! Embossing!
For this layout I started with a package of Clear Scraps acrylic arrows.
I simply arranged the arrows under my paper where I wanted them and then ran them through my Spellbinders Grand Calibur with the embossing mat. If you don't have a amchine that will emboss for you, you could easily accomplish this look simply by using a stylus and running it around the edges of your shapes.
Then I wanted my embossed areas to show up a tiny bit more. To give them some depth and definition I lightly inked on the raised edges.
For this next project I used the same acrylic arrows that I used for the above layout. However, this time I embellished the acrylic with some paint pens and washi tape.
A perfect way to get more for your money!
