Hi everyone! It’s Katie here today sharing a project that is equal parts decorative and practical! I am constantly misplacing my phone on my craft desk while I’m working, so when I saw the Clear Scraps Regular Wood Phone Stand, I knew it would be the perfect solution.

To get started, I covered each side of the back and bottom pieces with coordinating patterned paper. Once the adhesive had dried completely, I carefully trimmed away the excess paper and lightly inked all of the edges. This simple step adds a little extra detail and dimension and helps give the project a finished look. One tip if you’re using directional patterns: be sure to double-check the orientation of your paper before adhering it to the wood pieces!
Next, I assembled the phone stand. Since I had added patterned paper to all sides of the pieces, the bottom piece fit a little more snugly than it would have otherwise. Fortunately, it slid into place without tearing the paper and created a nice, secure fit.
Once the stand was assembled, it was time for my favorite part—decorating! Since my phone would be resting on the front of the stand, I decided to keep the embellishments fairly flat. Because this project was destined for my craft room, I chose a craft-themed collection and added coordinating elements that reflected my creative space without adding too much bulk.

For the back of the stand, I decided to personalize it by adding my name. Not only does it look cute sitting on my desk, but it will also be perfect for crops and retreats where it can double as a nameplate and help fellow crafters identify me. I added an ephemera banner to the foot on the back that reads “Eat. Sleep. Scrap. Repeat.” Rather fitting, I think. haha

I have an iPhone Pro Max and it sits perfectly on this stand, even with my CaseMate MagSafe ring on the back of the phone. And in case you’re wondering—yes, it works for more than just phones! I discovered that the stand comfortably holds my regular 11″ iPad as well. Since I don’t have a television in my craft room, I often watch YouTube videos or movies while I craft, and this stand keeps my iPad upright and easy to see without taking up much desk space.

I love when a project is both functional and beautiful, and this phone stand checks both boxes. It was quick to create, easy to customize, and is already getting daily use in my craft room!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’d love to hear from you—what do you like to watch or listen to while you’re crafting? Happy crafting!
Katie
