Clear Scraps Project Post

Hey there everyone! Laura here with you today ready to share a project to highlight all those fun summer days at the pool, lake, or beach!

This project starts with the Clear Scraps Chipboard Scallop Tags and the Acrylic Scallop #10 Tags. This is the front view–you can really see the swirls on the acrylic tag of the blue alcohol ink. It was just applied using a felt applicator and making a half circle motion all over the tag until it looked like churned up waves. If you “mirror” what you do on the front and the back, you don’t have anything showing through the tag. This time, I did leave the wave chipboard uncovered on this side–with the alcohol ink over it, it just looks like a cool, textural element!

The chipboard (smaller) tag was traced and cut out from 2 different patterned papers and then once glued down, edges were brushed with ink, and it was decorated–ready for fun summer pic, or a bit of journaling about a summer trip, event, or just an average day on the water!

The other side of the acrylic tag was sponged with several different colors of acrylic paint to add a “frothy surf” look. It was then layered with more paper and chipboard embellishments. The enamel dots and ribbons finish these tags so they are ready to add to an album or use in one of the awesome Tag Boxes from Clear Scraps to make a home decor memory piece you can display year round, to bring a little summer sunshine into every day!
